Boundary-value Problems of Piezoelectricity in Domains with Cuts

چکیده

In a domain with cut static boundary-value problems of piezoelectricity are investigated. The existence and uniqueness of solutions of the considered boundary value problems are proved and an asymptotic expansion of solutions near the edges of the cut are obtained. Let Ω and Ω1 (Ω1 ⊂ Ω) be a bounded domains in the three-dimensional Euclidean space R with infinitely smooth boundaries ∂Ω and ∂Ω1, respectively. We assume that the boundary ∂Ω1 of the domain Ω1 is the union of two surfaces: ∂Ω1 = S ∪ S0, and that the boundary ∂S = ∂S0 is an infinitely smooth curve. Denote Ω2 = Ω\Ω1. We suppose that the domain Ω\S is filled with an anisotropic homogeneous piezoelectric material having a cut at S . In the domain Ω\S, let us consider the system of static equations of piezoelectricity for a homogeneous anisotropic medium [1]:

Asymptotic Analysis and Polarization Matrices

Polarization matrices are considered for the elasticity boundary value problems in two and three spatial dimensions. The matrices are introduced in the framework of asymptotic analysis for boundary value problems depending on small geometrical parameter, it is the size of an elastic inclusion or a defect (cavity, crack) in an elastic body. Our analysis is performed for some representative class...

Solution of Thermo-Fluid problems in Bounded Domains via the Numerical Panel Method

The classical panel method has been extensively used in external aerodynamics to calculate ideal flow fields around moving vehicles or stationary structures in unbounded domains. However, the panel method, as a somewhat simpler implementation of the boundary element method, has rarely been employed to solve problems in closed complex domains. This paper aims at filling this gap and discusses th...

Eigenfunction Expansions for Second-Order Boundary Value Problems with Separated Boundary Conditions

In this paper, we investigate some properties of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of boundary value problems with separated boundary conditions. Also, we obtain formal series solutions for some partial differential equations associated with the second order differential equation, and study necessary and sufficient conditions for the negative and positive eigenvalues of the boundary value problem....

Higher order multi-point fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions

In this paper, we concerned with positive solutions for higher order m-point nonlinear fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions. We establish the criteria for the existence of at least one, two and three positive solutions for higher order m-point nonlinear fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions by using a result from the theory of fixed...

Two-dimensional Axisymmetric Electromechanical Response of Piezoelectric, Functionally Graded and Layered Composite Cylinders

A mixed semi-analytical cum numerical approach is presented in this paper which accounts for the coupled mechanical and electrical response of piezoelectric, functionally graded (FG) and layered composite hollow circular cylinders of finite length. Under axisymmetric mechanical and electrical loadings, the three-dimensional problem (3D) gets reduced to a two-dimensional (2D) plane strain proble...
